CHRISTOPHER WARD C60 Trident PRO Day Date COSC LIMITED EDITION

Do you struggle tying up your own shoe laces? Perhaps you don’t know what day of the week it is from day to the next!

Christopher Ward has released a couple of new Trident models for summer 2017. One of those is the new C60 Trident Pro Day Date COSC Limited Edition which will at least assist in one of the above failings.

It owes its good looks to CW’s Pro 600 range, only with an updated monochrome theme plus the introduction of a COSC chronometer-certified movement. Oh and that useful yet unsightly thing plastered across the left of the dial – a dreaded day date.

Offering excellent precision, the COSC Limited Edition features a fully tracked zirconia (ZrO2) ceramic bezel. The dial has these little green markers at each of the hours –

I honestly couldn’t say what they are for, sorry. Then there’s some orange text – this always looks good against black.

About as accurate as a mechanical movement gets, each 2836-2 COSC calibre has been certified by the independent Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres.

To achieve 'chronometer' status, the movement must be accurate to within at least -4/+6 seconds per day in different positions and temperatures.

Underscoring the collection's aquatic heritage, CW’s Trident-shaped counter-balance has a chrome finish to go with the raised indexes - contrasting against the black wave guilloche pattern of the dial.

A constant feature throughout the collection, the Trident motif has also been deep-stamped into the watch's screw-down caseback. The watch has decent amount of water-resistance with 600 meters.

The new C60 Trident Pro Day Date COSC Limited Edition comes with a whole slew of different strap and bracelet options. It is limited to 100 pieces. Its MSRP is £960.
